Message from the Superintendent

Dear Parents: Mark your calendars! The new Sunday School year is scheduled to begin Sunday, September 14 with Registration/Rally Day immediately following church services. Regular Sunday School classes will then begin the following Sunday (September 21), and plans are underway for another fun and educational year. Building on the progress we made the past two years – during which our students learned a lot about the Bible and its well-known passages – we’ll continue with the “Walk with Me” curriculum, which uses the best-loved stories of the Bible to teach children about God and how we worship as a congregation. In addition, we’re pleased to add a new component to our Preschool Class: “God Loves Me,” a complete set of 52 high-quality books, each of which tells a well-known Bible story in language written specifically for very young children. I know our youngest Sunday School students will enjoy listening to these stories on our Noah’s Ark rug! Lots of fun activities! We’ll also be holding another Christmas play/church supper, a Christmas caroling party and other fun activities. Should you or your children have suggestions for new activities to add this year, please let me know. We are always looking for new ways to engage our students in learning about God and Christian worship. Should you have any questions or would like to share your thoughts about our curriculum or other Sunday School activities, please feel free to contact me at 617-328-1384 or via e-mail at jennifer@hncong.org. I’m looking forward to seeing your children in September! Sincerely, Jennifer McCauley Logue
