STAINED GLASS WINDOWS The stained glass windows of the Houghs Neck Congregational Church were crafted by Charles J. Connick Associates of Boston, MA and James Francis Smith Stained Glass of Burlington, MA. The first stained glass window, depicting Christ as the Good Shepherd, was installed in 1952. In all, 16 stained glass windows are installed in the vestibule, sanctuary and balcony of the church. Each window is a magnificent work of art. |

BAKE SALE AT THE CHOWDAFEST
September 13 The Houghs Neck Congregational Church will once again sponsor a bake sale at the Chowdafest on September 13 by the boat ramp at the end of Bay View Avenue. All money raised will go to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Program of the Quincy Public Schools. This program provides a variety of assistance for children who are homeless or in transition. In the 2023-2024 academic year, this was one in every 35 students! This assistance can include food, school supplies, counseling referrals and more. Our donation each year allows the program coordinators to provide something extra. One year it was used to buy yearbooks for the seniors in this program, last year, they used it to pay college application fees, If you would like to help, you can bake cookies or bars. Bag the cookies 6 to a bag and bars, 4 to a bag and drop them off between noon and 2:00 when the Chowdafest opens. If you want to make a financial donation, we have a donation jar at the bake table. Thank you |
