Our Prayer Shawl Ministry was introduced to us by Beth Little. Many years ago a group of women began knitting “healing shawls” for women undergoing treatment for breast cancer and other illnesses. Others started making them and soon women all over the world were knitting and crocheting shawls for men and women who were ill.
We are seeking to continue our ministry offering these wonderful, warm, cozy, comforting shawls to those in need. They are called “Prayer Shawls” because a prayer or blessing is said before, while working on the shawl or upon completion.
We are fortunate now because several of you have made shawls. We hope you will take a shawl for someone in need. We attach a tag explaining the shawl and the name of the donor or anonymous.
