Meet Our Church Leaders

Meet some of the people who help guide, serve, and care for our church family.

Together, our Pastor, church leaders, and volunteers share their time and talents to support the life and ministry of Houghs Neck Congregational Church.

Reverend Lori Bruni, Settled Pastor

Pastor Lori earned her Master of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary in 2024 and is ordained in the United Church of Christ.

Lori and her husband, Anthony, live in Weymouth and enjoy spending time with their adult children and young grandson, Felix.

Lori feels blessed to be part of the warm and welcoming Houghs Neck Congregational Church family and to share in its life, ministry, and fellowship.

Ralph Jacobs, Chair of the Diaconate

Ralph is an active and valued member of our church family. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University and is a retired Technical Services Manager for the Massachusetts Port Authority.

Ralph and his wife, Nancy, a retired schoolteacher, live right here in Houghs Neck.

Affectionately known as “The Lobsterman and the Pie Lady,” they enjoy spending time with family and friends — and, of course, being part of the HNCC family!

Ian MacLean - Music Ministry Support Specialist

Ian has developed his musical and technical skills from an early age through opportunities at school, area churches, and ministries. He plays organ and piano, performing everything from traditional hymns to contemporary praise and worship music. He also collaborates with our Minister of Music on special pieces, sings solos and in the choir, installed and operates our new sound system, and assists the technology team with Zoom worship.

A lifelong resident of South Weymouth, Ian lives with his beloved dog, Enzo, an American Staffordshire Terrier/Whippet mix.

Julia Cronin - Church Photographer

Julia Cronin has pursued her passion for photography for 15 years, studying at the University of Massachusetts Boston and York Community College and working as a photographer’s assistant for two and a half years. She especially enjoys capturing the little moments that might otherwise go unnoticed and the warmth of family and community.

A lifelong resident of East Weymouth, Julia also works as a Personal Care Attendant for Tempus Unlimited. She enjoys spending time at the beach in any weather, playing with her dog, Darta, and being with family. She looks forward to meeting and connecting with the HNCC church family.
